Julie worked as a Resident Support Worker for woman's refuge in 2006 and 2007. She then worked at Healthcare Rehab from 2007 to 2016 becoming a team leader. She has been at Early Start [Parenting programme] as a family support worker since 2016. Julie has also been doing part-time private practice since 2006 and is increasing this area recently.

Her approach is to be gentle, kind and calm, to create a safe place for people to relax as they journey through healing. She primarily uses a person centered approach but has training in TA and CBT and various other techniques.

Julie has often been in support roles in her life, with young mothers, with the elderly and in health and disabilty issues, with people with mental or physical disabilities and with youth in holiday programmes. She has also worked with those with addiction, those affected by domestic violence and supporting teenage parents.
