Gill is a counsellor and supervisor with over 15 years’ experience walking alongside people through grief, trauma, life transitions, and deep personal change. She brings a calm, steady presence and has a deep belief in clients capacity to reconnect with what matters, at their pace and in their way.
Her counselling journey began in schools with young people and their whānau. Since then She's worked in private practice, bereavement services, and university health. She is an ACC Sensitive Claims (SCS) counsellor and offers culturally competent supervision across health, education, and social care.
Alongside formal qualifications, her work is grounded in lived experience. She's walked through seasons of loss, growth, and healing, and she understands the courage it takes to ask for help. She holds space gently, never rushing, always respectful.
Her approach is trauma-informed and integrative. She blends talk therapy, narrative practice, solution-focused strategies, and integrative tapping where helpful, tailoring each session to the person in front of her. She also supports recovery after family and sexual violence, including safety planning, trauma stabilisation, and gentle skills for nervous-system regulation. She goes at a pace that feels safe and workable for the client.
