Delwyn gained Social Work qualifications in Christchurch in 2003 and for 16 years has held various roles within the statutory child protection services in Christchurch and North Canterbury. She has worked with children and their families, co-ordinated and facilitated family group conferences, and worked alongside caregivers and parents. She has also coordinated multi-disciplinary social service professionals via the Children’s Team in North Canterbury.

Delwyn's most recent role has been to Supervise a team of Social Workers. Along the way she has gained experience in the Family Court arena and has knowledge of social services throughout Christchurch and North Canterbury.
