Jo is well networked in Christchurch with 16 years Social Work and counselling experience in various roles and teams, including medical centre, outpatients, secondary schools, community agency, privately providing supervision, and has taught social work at a tertiary level.
Her social work experience includes working with people with trauma and/or chronic health conditions, to connect back in to activities they enjoy, so people can participate in their own communities, in turn, improve their own wellbeing. Jo enjoys working with individuals and families.
Having worked in many different areas, allows Jo to be familiar with various government departments, and can help people navigate these systems as well as advocate for them.
